Kerala post 3-wicket win
A day after stunning Mumbai with a last-over win, Kerala defeated heavyweights Delhi by 3 wickets in a senior women's one-day cricket tournament match at Alur Cricket Stadium in Bengaluru Wednesday.
Delhi were made to bat first and Priya Punia top scored 46 runs. Ayushi Soni contributed 27 runs as Delhi made 143 in 45.2 overs. For Kerala, Minnu Mani and Mrudhula V.S. bagged seven wickets between them while Shani claimed two.
In reply, following the dismissal of Jisna, Kerala's second wicket partnership between Shani and Jincy accounted for 49 runs. Shani made 40 while Jincy added 46.
Kerala had started the event with a thrilling win over Mumbai, in which Akshaya scored an unbeaten 55 and Jincy again made 30. Shani had bagged three wickets while captain S. Asha and Minnu Mani claimed two wickets each against Mumbai.
