CK Nayudu Trophy: Vinith, Chaitanya shine for Telangana

Chaitanya was batting on 90 when stumps were drawn on the second day.

Hyderabad: Off-spinner P. S. Chaitanya Reddy took four wickets and then belted 90 with the bat while G. V. Vinith Reddy scored a century as Hyderabad took the lead against Uttar Pradesh in their C. K. Nayudu Trophy Under 23 Plate division Group ‘B’ league match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium here on Sunday.

Chaitanya took 4 for 38 as UP were bowled out for 234 before Vinith got into the act to stroke 107 runs off 230 balls that included 13 boundaries and two sixes as Hyderabad replied with 269 for 6. Chaitanya was batting on 90 when stumps were drawn on the second day.
