Tight security for India vs Australia T20 tie

More than 1,800 security personnel, including the paramilitary forces, will be deployed at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Hyderabad: More than 1,800 security personnel, including the paramilitary forces, will be deployed at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium at Uppal on the occasion of the third T20 match between India and Australia on Friday. Mahesh Bhagwat, Rachakonda police commissioner, reviewed the security arrangements and the traffic restrictions for the match.

The commissioner said that different police wings, including traffic, law and order, SHE Team, and two fire-fighting squads, will be deployed at the stadium.
Fifty-six CCTVs are installed at different locations at the stadium and they will be connected to the control room at the stadium for round-the-clock surveillance. Anti-sabotage checks will be conducted with the help of the bomb squad.

Carrying laptops, cameras, binoculars, batteries, bags, banners, cigarettes, lighters, matchboxes, coins, helmets, water bottles, metal objects and pens into the stadium is prohibited. A special police party will escort the vehicles carrying the players. During the match, traffic restrictions are imposed on the roads surrounding the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium.
