ICC CWC\'19: Viral collage of Dhoni and crying cameraman is fake
Mumbai: After India lost to New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup semi-final, a few moments stood out amongst the heartbroken Indian fans and one of them was when a throw by Guptill sent MS Dhoni back to the pavilion. Dhoni was India’s last hope after all other major batsmen had been dismissed.
During the aftermath, a collage went viral over the internet, showing a crying photographer, apparently reacting to Dhoni’s dismissal. Here’s the photo collage.

The post was seen and shared by many people, but is now revealed to be false. The collage depicts a photographer from a totally different location and point in time.

The photograph taken was from the Asian Cup 2019. Mohammed al Azzawi, an Iraqi photojournalist, couldn’t stop his tears from flowing after his team lost to Qatar in the Asian Cup round of 16 clash.
