ICC CWC\'19: Rohit Sharma leaves Indian teammates behind, returns to Mumbai
Mumbai: After India lost the semi-final clash against New Zealand on Tuesday, opener and vice-captain, Rohit Sharma was one of the most disappointed players. The batsman was dismissed for 1 run, after his tremendous performances through the tournament including setting a record of five centuries in a single World Cup tournament.
While the entire Indian team was set to return to the country on July 14, Sharma was spotted with his family at the Mumbai airport on Friday, July 13.

Rohit Sharma had earlier posted an emotional message for all the fans where he spoke about how the Team had failed to deliver when it mattered most, mentioning that 30 minutes of poor cricket had snatched away India’s chances of winning the cup.
Even after the loss, Sharma managed to stay the highest run scorer of the tournament, falling short of Sachin Tendulkar’s record by just 25 runs.
