Kedar Jadhav pleads Nottingham rain to go to Maharashtra; see video

Kedar Jadhav\'s home state Maharashtra is witnessing a severe drought condition with a mere 7 per cent of water left for consumption.

Mumbai: Fans and players were left frustrated as the clash between India and New Zealand was called off due to rain. The highly anticipated match was abandoned due to bad weather. The players were spotted looking at the sky with a glimmer of hope that the rain gods will show some mercy so that the game could have resumed. But the prayers went in vain.

Meanwhile, a video of Indian batsman Kedar Jadhav is going viral on social media in which he is seen pleading the rain gods to shift to drought-hit Maharashtra instead of pouring down in Nottingham and disrupting the game.

Kedar Jadhav's home state Maharashtra is witnessing a severe drought condition with a mere 7 per cent of water left for consumption.

Both India and New Zealand, who are unbeaten in ICC World Cup 2019 will have to share points due to abandonment of the match.

Till now, three matches have been abandoned due to rain -- Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, South Africa vs West Indies and Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka

ICC has received a lot of criticism for organizing the mega-event in England, where rain is interrupting every other match.
