M. Pradyoth and Anjali Adari stood ahead of the pack without showing any sign of fatigue in the boys and girls categories to win the 1,500 metres freestyle event at the 3rd Telangana State Sub-Junior and Junior Inter-District Swimming Championship held at GHMC Pool in Secunderabad.
Pradyoth was swift from the starting whistle and finished first clocking 23:34.53 seconds. Runner-up P. Yuva Himanshu lagged behind with seconds as the time recorded 23:37.52 and K. Lalith secured the third position after touching the board in 23:42.52 seconds.
In the girls section, it was a good day for Anjali Adari as she took the top spot with the time of 23:23.29 seconds. After wrapping the 1,500 metres, she also won the 400 and 800 metres freestyle titles to triple her joy.
Yash Varma was fastest in the 800 metres by clocking 10:12.00 in boys freestyle while the runner-up Akash Vardhan timed 11:42.94. G. Ashish Teja had to settle for the third position with 12:06.32 seconds.
