Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad: Sanjay Manjrekar reacts to Pollard outburst
Mumbai: Sanjay Manjrekar is one of the most well known voices in cricket commentary circles, and former Indian cricketer often gives his expert analyses during live matches.
However, one particular expert advice by Manjrekar backfired, after he criticised West Indies and Mumbai Indians all-rounder Kieron Pollard.
Manjrekar had said, “When I look at Pollard, I look at him as more a six-seven-overs-left-in-the-innings batsman. Whether he will be able to bat at No. 3 and whether he has the versatility to pick up the singles if the boundaries are not coming, does he have the range as a batsman? I don’t think so.
“My view is, maybe six or seven overs left in the innings is the perfect time for Pollard to come in,” Manjrekar continued.
However, these comments did not go down too well with Pollard, who took to Twitter to express his dissatisfaction at Manjrekar, in a series of tweets.
@sanjaymanjrekar u feel any positive can come out of your mouth bcuz u get pay to talk u can continue with your verbal diarrhea ..

During the Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad match at the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday, Manjrekar was sarcastically asked by co-commentator Ravi Shastri, whether he was had spoken to Pollard since the Twitter showdown.
Manjrekar replied, “Kept a safe distance. Couple of security guards outside the commentary box as well.
“That was a shocker. The compliment that he paid me just came out of nowhere,” concluded Manjrekar.
