Rift widens at the top of HCA

Disappointed with the developments, Shesh is planning to resign from his post.

Hyderabad: The tussle at the top of Hyderabad Cricket Association has reached Delhi. On Monday, President G. Vivekanand and Secretary T. Sheshnarayan landed at the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s Special General Meeting, each claiming the right to represent the HCA.

While Vivek had a letter of resolution by the Apex Council nominating him as the HCA representative, Shesh contended that the Constitution is clear about the Secretary being the Association’s representative at BCCI meetings. After the intervention of Justice (retd) Anil Dave, member of the Committee of Administrators appointed by the High Court to oversee HCA matters, Vivek attended the meet.

Disappointed with the developments, Shesh is planning to resign from his post. “On my return to Hyderabad, I will call for a General Body meeting, put forward my point and submit my resignation,” he said.

The HCA has been hit by a quite a few resignations of late, with as many as three from the senior selection committee putting in their papers alleging disregard to the rules.
