Chris Gayle scripts two historic feat during second ODI versus India
Mumbai: On Sunday, West Indies legend Chris Gayle shattered two massive records to register his name in the history books. Earlier, during the first ODI against India, Chris Gayle, who played a woeful knock of four runs from 31 balls, was 11 runs away from surpassing another West Indies legendary batsman Brian Lara’s tally of 10,348 ODI runs.
However, in the second ODI he scripted history by becoming the all time highest run-scorer in the ODIs by adding seven runs to take his tally to 10,353 ODI runs. Prior to the first ODI, the West Indies opener required 11 runs to register this record.
With 10,353 runs, the ‘Universe Boss’ has now become the all-time highest run-scorer in the ODI format for West Indies. The West Indies batsman achieved this feat in the 9th over.
