Video: Manoj Tiwary calls Rashid Latif donkey' for criticising Virender Sehwag
Mumbai: India and Pakistan cricket matches have grabbed a lot of eyeballs, helped International Cricket Council (ICC) earn millions and divided opinions. The advent of social media has added even more zing to the age-old rivalry where the cricketers and cricket fans, across the border, have a platform to express themselves.
The same was on display after the recent India versus Pakistan clash in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy in England. The match, which saw Virat Kohli-led India sealing a thumping 124-run win over Sarfraz Ahmed’s unit, brought reactions from former cricketers and pundits around the world.
One of them, was Virender Sehwag, who tweeted this.
Pote ke baad Bete. Koi baat nahi Beta, Well tried ! Congratulations Bharat !#BaapBaapHotaHai #INDvPAK

However, Sehwag’s reaction drew flak from former Pakistan wicketkeeper Rashid Latif. In a video posted on Facebook, Latif slammed the former Indian cricketer.
Sehwag, who generally never shies away from speaking his mind on Twitter, preferred to let his silence do the talking.
A meaningful silence is always better than meaningless words.

While Sehwag remained calm, Manoj Tiwary – Bengal batsman, who recently played under Steve Smith for Rising Pune Supergiant – minced no words as he slammed Latif for targeting Sehwag. Tiwary called Latif a “donkey” in a video message.

Despite all this, there is no writing off another possibility of another India vs Pakistan clash, as Pakistan play today against Sri Lanka to set up a semi-final berth in the Champions Trophy.
