Team India's added aggression in Bengaluru Test left us surprised: Matthew Wade
After facing a humiliating 333-run defeat in the Pune Test, Virat Kohli and his men bounced back superbly and registered an emphatic win to level the four-match series at the M Chinnaswamy stadium.
"They're always aggressive," said Wade in an interview to cricket.com.au.
"The change from the first Test to the second Test was probably the initial shock. They certainly came out a little harder on Day Three (at Bengaluru), but we expect them to come hard. When you've got a caged lion you expect them to come out pretty hard, to get away."
The wicketkeeper also made a comparison of the Indian teams under Kohli and his predecessor Mahendra Singh Dhoni and said, "Indian teams are always quite aggressive. Dhoni was a different captain to Kohli, but that's just personality."
Pat Cummins has been included in the squad as his replacement and it would be a Herculean task for Steve Smith and Co. to stop the hosts from getting a lead in the series in the third game beginning March 16.
