When Rohit Sharma compared Manish Pandey to Salman Khan
Mumbai: The members of the Indian cricket team are known to share great camaraderie among themselves. That camaraderie often spoils over to the social media, where the fans get a sneak-peek into the interpersonal relationship between the players.
Opening batsman Rohit Sharma took to Twitter to wish his fellow Team India cricketer Manich Pandey a happy birthday – in a rather unique manner.
Hey Chulbul Pandey many happy returns of the day. Lots of success around the corner @im_manishpandey

Rohit’s usage of the term “Chulbul Pandey” for Manich is a direct reference to the protagonist of the movie ‘Dabangg’, played by Bollywood star Salman Khan.
Although he played only two games in the five-match ODI series, Manish Pandey seemed to have come into some form, maintaining an average of 86. He also notched up his first ever half-century in the one-off T20I against the Emerald Islanders.
