HCA secretary T Sheshnarayan demands double IPL fee

''We demand the amount be doubled to Rs 1.2 crore per game, Shesh said.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Cricket Association secretary T. Sheshnarayan has pitched in for a larger share of the IPL pie, demanding the facilitation fee paid to staging cricket associations be doubled in view of increased inflows.

“The BCCI and the franchise pay us Rs 30 lakh each per match, totalling Rs 60 lakh per game. However, this amount has remained static for the last 10 years.

Against the backdrop of the enhanced revenues from the IPL and the escalating costs in conduct of the match, we demand the amount be doubled to Rs 1.2 crore per game,” Shesh said.
