Bhogle shares views on Kollam tragedy after IPL exit

Indian cricket commentator, whose contract has been terminated by BCCI, talks about personal disappointments.

Mumbai: A fire accident at Puttingal temple in Paravur at Kollam (Kerala) on Sunday morning left the nation shocked. At least 102 people have been declared dead so far with several injured. Amidst the relief operations, cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle stepped in to share his views.

Bhogle, whose IPL contract was terminated by BCCI, probably mingled his personal emotions with the ones affected.

“When people go to a temple and do not return, it puts personal disappointments into perspective,” he tweeted.

Bhogle’s tweet invokes philosophy and personal emotions following his exit from IPL commentary.

The 54-year-old maintained how IPL was his favourite tournament talking about the team balance, involving international cricketers along with the domestic stars.

Earlier, Bhogle faced criticism from movie star Amitabh Bachchan for talking less about Indian players and more about others during the ICC World Twenty20.
