Mehdi Hasan picks five-for in Hyderabad's win
Hyderabad: Mehdi Hasan picked a brilliant five-for which was well supported by Amol Shinde who chipped in with four wickets to guide Hyderabad to an 87-run victory over Tamil Nadu in their Round Two match in the All India Buchi Babu tournament at Chennai.
Chasing Hyderabad’s 354, Tamil Nadu batters failed to pick Mehdi and Amol’s variations as they kept losing wickets in regular intervals and were bowled out for 266 in 75.4 overs. Mehdi’s figures read 31.4-3-78-5 while Amol dismissed four batsmen while conceding 56 runs.
Earlier, Kolla Sumanth smashed an unbeaten 103 from 85 deliveries with 10 boundaries and a six in his account while Tanmay Agarwal and Akshath Reddy contributed with 82 and 67 respectively to take Hyderabad’s total to 354 for 9. R. Aushik Srinivas (5/103) was the top bowler for the home side.
