Video| Squirrel stops play between South Africa-Australia
Cape Town: Cricket saw a new obstruction during the third Twenty20 cricket match between South Africa and Australia here on Wednesday. No, it didn’t rain and the lights were just fine. It was a squirrel that entered the field and stopped play for a few minutes much to the umpires’ disapproval.

The teams lost five minutes at the start of second over, thanks to the rodent.
Security personnels chased the little thing but could not keep up to its pace and agility. One official almost ran half the ground trying to trap her.
Even Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell tried his best.
The mammal who couldn’t find a tree loved the Newland outfield and left the captors panting.

Later, a woman tried to settle scores with the squirrel but it ran away.
Former cricketer and commentator Mark Waugh said: “It’s the first time I’ve seen a sporting event held up by a squirrel.”
Both the teams will soon fly India for the ICC World Twenty20.
