\'Media hypes certain players\': Rabada not bothered by rise of Jasprit Bumrah

South Africa will lock horns with India for three T20 Internationals and as many Test matches.

Mumbai: South Africa pacer Kagiso Rabada is unfazed by the rise of Jasprit Bumrah, who grabbed the headlines after displaying an astounding bowling performance against West Indies.

Rabada, who is currently ranked second in the ICC Test rankings stated he isn’t bothered by the rise of Bumrah and England pacer Jofra Archer after the duo starred for their respective teams recently.

The 24-year-old said players like Bumrah and Archer provide healthy competition and help other players lift their game. He also expressed admiration for both the bowlers but added that 'media hypes certain players'.

"I admire those bowlers, they are good bowlers. However the media hypes certain players, and that's Ok, I know I have been playing very well. Archer is such a natural talent, Bumrah is doing wonders and that can force you to lift your game."

"You are not always at the top, that's one thing I can tell you," Rabada was quoted as saying by iol.co.za.

“Excited to be back in India and looking forward to playing cricket again,” Rabada had tweeted after the team touched down in the capital on Saturday.
