Video: Mayanti Langer interviews Stuart Binny on anniversary during KPL

Mysuru: It is not uncommon in the world of sports, for an athlete to be interviewed by his or her better half.

From Spanish and Real Madrid football legend Iker Casillas, who was interviewed by his girlfriend Sara Carbonero, to New Zealand cricketer Martin Guptill, who was interviewed by his wife Laura McGoldrick, this has become a bit of a trend in international sports.

Something similar, but much more special happened in the Karnataka Premier League, recently.

One of India’s most celebrated sports couple, Indian cricketer Stuart Binny and TV presenter Mayanti Langer shared some screen-time, as the latter interviewed her husband – on their anniversary.

Binny, who was awarded the Man of the Match award, scored 87 from 46 balls, to guide the Belagavi Panthers to a 23-run victory over Bengaluru Blasters.
