Sehwag’s coach A.N. Sharma believes his prodigy will make an excellent coach. The 73-year-old, who coached Sehwag from 1993-2007, says, “Sehwag is a very straight-forward man, he doesn’t fear anyone. If he becomes the coach, no Indian cricket team would have seen a coach like him.”
Ask about his take on Sehwag’s two-line CV and Sharma, says, “He believes in action, not words,” and shares an anecdote, “Once we were seeing the resume of a Ranji player. After Sehwag read the resume, he slammed the file on my table and said he feels like tearing it because what the player had written was not to the point. He believes your work must speak for you.”
