Video: Aaron Finch throws helmet after dismissal

Kolkata: After losing three games in a row, Gujarat Lions returned to winning ways with a victory over Kolkata Knight Riders in Kolkata on Sunday.

The Suresh Raina-led side outplayed the hosts to seal a five-wicket win at the iconic Eden Gardens. While Lions’ bowlers played a key role in team’s win, the performance from their batsmen helped the team to cross the line. Although Lions’ played a spotless cricket, the victory was marred by an outburst from Aaron Finch.

The Australian right-hander was going great guns as he smashed 29 runs off 10 balls. But just when the team was a run away from the victory, miscommunication between Finch and Ravindra Jadeja cost the former his wicket.

After Jadeja dabbed the ball towards the leg-side, Finch took off for a single. Before Jadeja could send him back, it was too late for Finch as Manish Pandey, who was fielding at midwicket, ran in to dislodge the bails and run-out Finch.

Finch lost his cool and had a go at Jadeja before throwing his helmet and bat on his way towards the team dug-out.

But before things could go out of hand, Finch took to Twitter to post a "friends again" photo with Jadeja.
