Virender Sehwag posts sarcastic tweet, gets trolled instead
Mumbai: Virender Sehwag is known to be one of the wittiest cricketers on social media today.
The 38-year-old is very active on social media, and had posted a rather unique tribute to MS Dhoni, who had relinquished his limited overs captaincy last week.
The former India cricketer has come into the limelight once again, after he tagged a news portal in what was intended to be a rather tongue-in-cheek comment.
Last week, news portal Emirates 24x7 had mistakenly tweeted a picture of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, instead of Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Sehwag took this opportunity to troll the news portal. Here is what he posted.
Emirates Airlines was quick to reply back to Sehwag in their own witty manner.
The ‘Nawab of Najafgarh’s’ fans instantly jumped the wagon, praising him for his wit.
However, it is not clear whether Sehwag was being sarcastic, or whether it was just a mistake by the ‘Multan ka Sultan’. Sehwag got some stick for his tweet, as some fans believed that he may have mistaken the news portal Emirates 24x7 for the Emirates Airlines.
