Mumbai: Sourav Ganguly was known for his all round performance. Apart from batting records that still stand thanks to Ganguly’s powerful striking abilities, Dada was also excellent on the other end of the deliveries he faced.

Ganguly took 100 wickets in his ODI career. Here are his top 5 performances with the ball-

 

 

5. 3/27 vs England, 1999

Ganguly took three wickets at the expense of just 27 runs against England on May 29, 1999. He took eight overs in the game and finished with an economy of 3.37.

 

4. 3/22 vs Zimbabwe, 2003

On February 19, 2003, Ganguly took out three batsmen from the Zimbabwe squad for just 22 runs in only five overs. One of his five was a maiden over. He finished with an economy of 3.37.

 

3. 4/21 vs Sri Lanka, 1999

Ganguly took four wickets while conceding just 21 runs in only four overs on March 22, 1999. He finished with an economy of 5.25.

 

 

2. 5/34 vs Zimbabwe, 2000

On December 11, 2000, Ganguly skittled half the Zimbabwe team at the expense of just 34 runs in 10 overs, including a maiden over. He finished the game with a bowling economy of 3.40.

 

1. 5/16 vs Pakistan, 1997

Sourav Ganguly took out half the team when India faced Pakistan in Toronto on September 18, 1997. He accomplished the feat in 10 overs, including three maiden overs. He finished the match at a career-best bowling economy of just 1.60
