Kolkata: There seems to be no end to Team India pacer Mohammed Shami problems. The pacer who was playing in Deodhar trophy recently saw his central contract been put on hold by The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Wednesday, after the news regarding cricketer having extramarital affair surfaced in the media.
After all the accusition, Shami's wife Hasin Jahan went to Lalbazar police headquarters on Wednesday evening.
Speaking to Times of India joint commissioner (crime) Praveen Tripathi said “She came to Lalbazar and met us. She has told us in detail about the trouble between her and her husband but did not lodge any official complaint,”.
Jahan on Wednesday posted several screenshots of Messenger and Whatsapp messages on her Facebook wall, In a bid to expose the pacer's extra-marital affair. She also said that the Indian cricket team pacer, on his return from the recent South Africa tour, beat her.
“Shami abused me and started beating me even after returning from South Africa. He has been doing this for quite some time now and now I have had enough. I tried to convince myself for the sake of my family and daughter but he kept on harassing me and when I found those obscene chats with multiple women, all hell broke. I cannot tolerate this anymore and I have decided to take legal actions with all the available evidence. Instead of accepting his own mistakes, he used to vent his anger on me and even threaten me, asking to keep mum for my own goodwill,” she added.
Shami, meanwhile, took to Facebook to deny wife's adultery charges. Shami wrote, "Hi. I'm Mohammad Shami.""Ye jitna bhi news hamara personal life ke bare may chal raha hai, ye sab sarasar jhut hai, ye koi bahut bada humare khilap sajish hai or ye mujhe Badnam karne or mera game kharab karne ka kosis ki ja rahi hai,".
