Aaron Finch, who sustained a hamstring injury during Australia 0-3 drubbing against India in a three-match T20 series and is fighting it out to make a comeback to the national side for ICC World T20, may no longer captain the team.

It is learnt that Australian selectors were eager to ask Steve Smith to lead the team during the T20 series against India.
Selector Rod Marsh had then said, “Those things are always considered, but at the moment Aaron is doing the job and doing it nicely."
However, the opener who will be playing for Gujarat Lions in the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League may no longer lead the Australian side in the shortest format of the game.
