Hyderabad: M. Narender Goud’s appointment has been ratified by the executive committee of the Hyderabad Cricket Association. Mr Goud will now be the next president of the cricketing body in the state of Telangana.
This was ratified during the executive committee meeting of the Hyderabad Cricket Association at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Narender Goud was elevated as president of the HCA by virtue of his being the senior-most vice-president of the Cricketing Association, after the Supreme Court order from January 2.
During a cordial meeting held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday, the members of the executive committee decided to entrust Mr Goud with the top responsibilities of the Hyderabad Cricket Association. Fresh elections for other posts will be held anytime soon. However, it remains to be seen how many of the HCA’s political bigwigs qualify to contest for the fresh elections, intune with the Supreme Court’s order.
