Mahela Jayawardene destroys an MS Dhoni fan on Twitter with a savage reply
Colombo: Former Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardena has been hailed globally for his batting skills and his captaincy credentials. Jayawardena, who coached Mumbai Indians to IPL triumph in 2017, has also been known for his composure and reserved persona.
On Monday, Jayawardena exposed his funnier side on Twitter, trolling an ardent Mahendra Singh Dhoni fan.
The former Sri Lanka cricketer was one of the many to pay a tribute to sprinter Usain Bolt as the Jamaican competed in his final race at the recently concluded 2017 World Athletics Championship.
Respect @usainbolt ðŸ‘ðŸ‘ðŸ‘

Out of Jayawardena’s thousands of followers, an irrelevant tweet by the fan of former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni caught the eye of Jayawardena.
Also respect to @msdhoni who is more faster than bolt

In reply, the former Sri Lanka cricketer responded to the banter with a hilarious reply.
Was Dhoni on his bike? 🙊 https://t.co/4G92pBh8yi

This is not the first time that Jayawardena has been annoyed by trolls from India. Previously on International Women’s Day, an Indian Twitter user mocked his name Mahela that sounds similarly to “Mahila” (a term used to refer to females in Hindi).
Jayawardena, however, did not hold back and soon pounced on the tweet.
