Mumbai: Rumour mills went buzzing during the latter part of last month reporting the death of Shahid Afridi’s youngest daughter Asmara.
The photos went viral claiming a young girl wrapped in white cloth with rose petals to be Afridi’s daughter. One of the pictures also showed Afridi being a part of a death procession.
However, it is emerged that that the photo was clicked in 2011 during the death procession of Afridi’s father, reported 'ABP News'.
While it is true that Asmara underwent a surgery, it was a minor dental surgery and not some life threatening condition.
Afridi had then thanked everyone for remembering her in prayers.

Afridi, who faced a lot of criticism for his team’s poor show in India, had then cited the reason of his daughter being unwell for not appearing before an inquiry committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board in Lahore.
According to media reports, the beleaguered captain had reportedly told the committee that his daughter was unwell and that he could not appear before the PCB committee in person.
The committee comprised of Misbah-ul Haq, Younus Khan, Subhan Ahmed and Shakil Sheikh.
It was formed to establish facts behind Pakistan’s disastrous performance in the World Twenty20 and the Asia Cup performance. Afridi was specially asked to appear to explain his position. Some reports said that he recorded his version on the phone....
