Sarfraz Ahmed has adopted many good things from MS Dhoni, says his wife

Mumbai: The wife of Pakistan's new T20 captain Sarfraz Ahmed is an admirer of Team India's limited over captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his wife Sakshi.

Like Dhoni, Sarfraz is also a wicketkeeper-batsman and the 29-year-old has replaced the experienced Shahid Afridi to lead the Pakistan team in the shortest format of the game.

"Dhoni is a living legend. He has got every trophy which he fought for and my husband, Sarfraz has adopted many good things from him," the wife, Syeda Khushbakht, said.

"Dhoni's wife, Sakshi, is a known face and I admire her a lot. She has been a lucky charm for MSD. I don't know what would I tell her when an opportunity comes to meet her in the box (during a match in the future). I may become speechless to see her at that time," she added.

So now, Khushbakht is also hoping to be the lucky wife for new captain.

"Well the meaning of my name is "girl with a happy luck."

Sarfraz was not at home when this mobile-call conversation took place.

"The good news came on Tuesday when the PCB chairman called Sarfraz and informed him. Honestly, it was a surprise for us. It was his dream to lead the Pakistan team", she added.

Knowing Pakistan's captaincy is always a hanging-sword above the throne, she says, "My husband has guts as we saw in our recent Pakistan Super League (PSL)."

"I will be standing next to the skipper so that he can fulfill the desires of our nation to become the World champion again," she signed off.
