Blind World Cup semifinal in Hyderabad

The 10-team tournament will be played on a league cum knockout basis in 10 cities across India from January 28 to February 12.

Hyderabad: Samarthanam trust, the parent body of Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI) is geared up to host the semifinal of second T20 World Cup at Lal Bahadur Stadium in Hyderabad on February 10.

The 10-team tournament will be played on a league cum knockout basis in 10 cities across India from January 28 to February 12.

Addressing a press conference, President of CABI and founder of Samarthanam, Mahantesh G. K. said, “ We are glad to be expanding to another important city with the vision of making a difference in the lives of differently abled children. We are thankful to the proactive interest shown by the government of Telangana.”

Putting the expenses for hosting and organising the tournament at cost Rs 8 crore the CABI has appealed to the corporates, government and public to support them financially.
