Ashes 2019: Australian fans thrown out of stadium for abusing Jofra Archer

With the double century scored by Steve Smith, Australia reached a dominant position in the fourth Test.

Manchester: Some Australian fans were evicted from the Old Trafford after they abused England pacer Jofra Archer, according to a report published in the newspaper The Sydney Morning Herald.

The fans were reportedly seated near the boundary line where Archer was fielding. "Jofra, show us your passport" was the primary abuse thrown at the pacer, referring to his Barbados heritage.

The fans were asked to leave the ground immediately after neighbours lodged a complaint regarding their abusive behaviour. Archer was reluctant to respond to their behaviour.

With the double century scored by Steve Smith, Australia reached a dominant position in the fourth Test.

Australia declared their innings at 494/8 and they were able to scalp one wicket of England before the close of play on day two.

Joe Denly was sent back to the pavilion by Pat Cummins restricting England to 23/1 at stumps on day two.
