Kevin Pietersen pays best tribute to Muhammad Ali
Mumbai: International cricketer Kevin Pietersen went out of his way to pay a fitting tribute to legendary boxer Muhammad Ali who died aged 74 on Friday. The out-of-favour England cricketer made a new tattoo on the boxing legend and flaunted it on social media.
“He talked the talk & walked the walk! He was the GREATEST sports person ever,” he wrote as the caption to the photo.
Ali’s respiratory complications ended his life. The Olympic gold medallist had a record of 56 wins in 61 bouts.
His demise poured in tributes from all over the world. He was more than a boxer – a philanthropist and a social worker.
Pietersen got the tattoo on his right hand.
However, both athletes had one thing in common. They were blunt which landed them in several controversies.
While Ali refused to join the army to participate in the Vietnam War, Pietersen protested against the racial quota system in South Africa before moving base to England.
