Mumbai: As per an article by the Crictracker, Rajasthan Royals just like the Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kings XI Punjab have gone through a rough patch in this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL), languishing at the sixth spot with only five wins from 14 matches.
In their last match, they witnessed a humiliating loss at the hands of Delhi Capitals. The losses were so excruciating that Jaydev Unadkat could never forget. For the second straight season, the left-handed pacer failed to justify his value as he was sold at the auction at a heavy price just like the previous season.
Maybe that’s why he came under the scanner as the fans targeted for a series of trolls. The Saurashtra player wasn’t able to find the same form that he found in 2017 year. During the 2017 season Unadkat ended up as the second highest wicket-taker. But in 2018, Jaydev scalped only 21 wickets from 26 matches, giving away runs with an economy rate of above ten.
In this year’s IPL Unadkat was in a rough patch as he picked up only ten wickets from 14 games with an economy rate of 10.66. Since 2018, Unadkat drew heavy flak from the fans as they took to twitter to make fun of Unadkat’s price tag. One person took the fun to another level when he asked him to “enroll into a cricket academy and learn how to bowl.”
The person tweeted, “Please enroll in a cricket academy and learn how to bowl.”
What wonderful service and staff @airvistara !! Morning travel has never been less stressful. Enrolling into the Vistara Club right now 💜— Jaydev Unadkat (@JUnadkat) May 5, 2019
Jaydev Unadkat gives befitting reply
Unadkat was in a no-nonsense mood as he gave a witty response to that person’s tweet. He rather than slamming the person, he politely made it certain that it wasn’t right to criticise him.
Unadkat also indicated that he experienced abuses during the whole tournament, and wrote, “Yes boss, already enrolled into one and will forever be enrolled, till the time I keep playing this game passionately. Because learning never stops. Neither when you fail nor when you succeed. Hope you guys learnt something from hurling abuses to me throughout the season.”...
