Mumbai: India cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin set Twitter ablaze on Monday with his “234 job opportunities to open up shortly” tweet.
The tweet comes a day after AIADMK general secretary VK Sasikala was elected as the party's legislature leader, paving her way for her elevation as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, suggesting that the tweet was made in reference to the number of assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu.
India’s premier bowler on Twitter wrote, “To all the youngsters in TN, 234 job opportunities to open up shortly".
The tweet was retweeted over 4,000 times and recovered over 8,000 likes. However, Ashwin later clarified that the tweet had nothing to do with politics, instead it was regarding about a “job creation drive”.
