Tanmay Agarwal named hyd captain in Ranji Trophy
HYDERABAD: Tanmay Agarwal will lead Hyderabad’s 16-member squad in their Ranji Trophy match against Gujarat, sheduled to be played in the city from Decemebr 9 to 12.
The left-hander has been a prolific scorer for the state side in the lead up to the tournament. The 24-year-old has played 34 first class matches and has seven centuries and nine fifties to his credit.
Another promising left-hander, B. Sandeep, has been named as vice-captain. Sandeep has been turning heads with his allround performances in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and is also talked about as being in line to make the IPL next year.
He also returned as the highest wicket-taker for Hyderabad in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, with 14 against his name.
