HCA top division league: Ravi Teja, Lalith Mohan shine on day three

Ravi scored an unbeaten 112 with the help of 12 boundaries to take his side to 233 for 4.

Hyderabad: T. Ravi Teja of Andhra Bank smashed century while R. Dayanand’s A. Lalith Mohan picked a five-for to steal the show on the final day of their respective Pool ‘A’ matches in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s top division league played here on Friday. In reply to Deccan Chronicle’s 451, Ravi scored an unbeaten 112 with the help of 12 boundaries to take his side to 233 for 4 and draw the match as both sides settled for a point each. Neeraj Bist too played handy knock of an unbeaten 52.

The other match between R. Dayanand and BDL too ended in a draw and the former side fetched three points after taking lead in the first innings. BDL had to settle for one. After scoring 288 in the first innings, R. Dayanand bowled out BDL for 229, courtesy left-arm-spinner A. Lalith Mohan who trapped five batsmen in his spin web while giving away 97 runs. Later, Dayanand made a shaky start to their second innings and were 93 for 3 by the end of day’s play with Y. Chaitanya Krishna unbeaten on 50.

In the inter-school league, DPS Nacharam clinched five points after beating Genesis International School by seven wickets.
