Every cricket-lover in India knows of superfan Sudhir Gautam, the Indian cricket team’s unofficial painted mascot. Now, the Sachin Tendulkar-bhakt seems to have impressed CSK’s captain cool Mahendra Singh Dhoni as well.
Days after lifting the IPL trophy for the third time, Dhoni invited Gautam for a celebratory lunch at his farmhouse in Ranchi. Needless to say, the superfan was delighted. True to form, he showed up with a tricoloured map of India painted on his head. Maybe he was afraid the skipper wouldn’t recognise him without his trademark body paint.
Later, he shared pictures of his “special day” on Twitter.
