RCB tough to beat: Kane Williamson

Talking to the reporters on Tuesday, the New Zealander said his side is going into the tournament with an open mind.

Hyderabad: The man for all three formats of cricket — Kane Williamson — is all set and fresh for the IPL opener on Wednesday when Sunrisers take on the Royal Challengers.

Talking to the reporters on Tuesday, the New Zealander said his side is going into the tournament with an open mind. “It’s nice to be back in India... we got some important games and will look to change a few things because having gone through all the way last year, every opposition will have a good look at you and how you operate,” he said.

The 26-year-old also lauded the battery of pace bowlers in the team. “The inclusion of some talented overseas bowlers like Chris Jordan, Ben Laughlin and Afghan sensation Rashid Khan is exciting,” he said. Not being a regular part of the playing XI is not an issue for the Kiwi batsman.
