Here's the story! Virat Kohli reveals how MS Dhoni started calling him Cheeku'
Mumbai: While the leadership has changed from MS Dhoni to Virat Kohli, it has not had an adverse impact on the team. In fact, the Indian cricket team is thriving under Virat Kohli.
The history of cricket is filled with instances where such a leadership transition has hampered the interpersonal relation between the two cricketers. However, the transition from Dhoni to Kohli has been a smooth ride as the two continue to share a heartwarming relation, with Dhoni not missing out on helping Kohli the captain and the Delhi batsman not missing a chance to talk about his predecessor’s importance in current set-up.
It is known that Kohli’s nickname is Cheeku. However, Kohli, during a chat show where he shared the stage with Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, revealed how Dhoni started calling him by his nickname ‘Cheeku’.
Sameer Allana, journalist, took to Twitter as he described what Kohli said on the show.
“During u17, I had haircut due to which my ears looked big,So every1 called me Cheeku rabbit,Eventually MSD started & stump mic did it's job,” Allana tweeted.
