Twitter lashes out at coach Ravi Shastri as Kohli's India lose England Test series
Southampton: While Virat Kohli’s batting in the Test series against England has been a standout point, India’s failure to win the series against Joe Root and co. has invited criticism against Kohli, the captain and head coach Ravi Shastri.
While there were reports the unhappiness in the BCCI ranks following India’s Lord’s debacle, where England outplayed India to win the Test by an innings, India’s win at the Trent Bridge in the third Test had raised hopes of India’s stunning comeback in the series. However, India’s defeat in Southampton has invited criticism against Shastri.
Following India’s series defeat at the Ageas Bowl, the Indian cricket team fans lashed out at Shastri and urged BCCI to remove him from the position of India’s head coach.
