Sachin Tendulkar's praises 'lightning' MS Dhoni on 100th stumping for Team India

MS Dhoni entered the record books on Sunday after he completed 100 stumpings in his ODI career.

Colombo: Veteran India wicket keeper-batsman MS Dhoni entered the record books on Sunday after he completed 100 stumpings in his ODI career, and become the first cricketer to achieve the feat.

Dhoni reached the milestone after he stumped Akila Dananjaya off the bowling of Yuzvendra Chahal in the fifth ODI held at Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Dhoni had a brilliant game behind the stumps. He was involved in as many as 4 dismissals during the Sri Lankan innings. This included a run-out, a stumping, and two catches.

Wishes and congratulatory messages came in pouring in for the former India captain after he achieving the feat. Former India cricketer and legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar took to social media platform Twitter to congratulate MS Dhoni on his achievement.

“Who said lightning doesn’t strike twice? Today it did for the 100th time! Well done, @msdhoni! Keep them coming :-)” tweeted Sachin Tendulkar

Dhoni’s presence of mind behind the stumps has benefited the Men in Blue. With his quick stumpings and unusual run-outs, he has certainly emerged as one of the best wicket keepers and also set a benchmark for others wicket keepers in the cricketing world.
