Watch: KL Rahul takes a blinder, celebrates with Virat Kohli in Paul Pogba's style
Colombo: India opener KL Rahul displayed why he deserved his place in Virat Kohli’s team, this time with a piece of brilliance on the field. During Sri Lanka’s second innings on Friday, Rahul surprised everyone with his athleticism by taking a blinder at short-leg to dismiss Sri Lanka opener Upul Tharanga for nought.
After going defensive against Ashwin during the first five deliveries, Tharanga struck a hard one at Rahul, who desperately crouched to keep the hold of the ball. Fortunately, the ball did not pop out and the Sri Lanka opener had to make his way to the pavilion without opening his account.
Rahul soon celebrated with India captain Virat Kohli in a unique fashion that is rollicked by Manchester United star Paul Pogba:

Team India earlier declared after setting up a humongous 622-9 on board courtesy of centuries from Ajinkya Rahane, Cheteshwar Pujara and vital half-centuries from Ravichandran Ashwin, Wriddhiman Saha and Ravindra Jadeja. At the end of Day 2, India further tightened their grip on the match after R Ashwin scalped two quick Sri Lankan wickets.
