ICC Women's World Cup: Pakistan's Kainat Imtaz meets childhood idol Jhulan Goswami
Derby: The Indian women’s cricket team, on Sunday, defeated their Pakistan counterparts in a ICC Women’s World Cup match at Derby, England, thereby extending their unbeaten run against their arch-rivals to 10-0.
Despite political tensions between the two countries, the relations between cricketers of both the subcontinent counterparts have been good.
After the Indo-Pak encounter, Pakistan’s Kainat Imtaz met up with her childhood cricket idol and current women’s cricketer, India’s Jhulan Goswami.
Kainat was a 10-year-old kid representing Karachi Blues in a hard ball tournament, when current captains Mithali Raj and Sana Mir were part of their teams during the 2005-06 Asia Cup.
The 25-year-old Pakistani took to Instagram to share her excitement of finally getting to meet childhood heroine Jhulan Goswami.
The Indian eves will play their next league match against Sri Lanka on Wednesday, whereas Pakistan will take on Australia on the same day.
