Sydney: After an impasse between Cricket Australia and Australian Cricketers’ Association to agree on a new pay deal, Aaron Finch has taken a jibe against the country’s cricket board.
With no progress being made amongst the two parties following the expiry of the June 30 deadline for the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the CA and ACA, 230 Australian players are now technically without a job since they have not put pen to paper on a new contract.
Finch, who will travel to England to play for English County Surrey in the NatWest T20 Blast tweeted a goodbye message before leaving the country: "Off to London... See you soon @surreycricket. I'm just happy to be employed!"

ACA previously attempted to scrap the 20-year-old revenue model by CA to give all the players a fixed share of revenues and also offer a pay rise to elite players. The crisis has been on for months now and both the parties and both the parties are not willing to budge from their stance.
Along with the players, fixtures are also at risk including Australia's Test tour to Bangladesh from August, the one-day international series in India in September and the home Ashes series against England later this year.
