Waqar Younis' message after meeting young Indian fan is winning hearts all over

India and Pakistan will lock horns at Manchester on June 16 next year, when the two teams meet in the group stage of the Cricket World Cup.

London: India and Pakistan have not taken part in a bilateral cricket series since 2012 due to political tensions between the two countries. The arch-rivals, though, have only faced off in ICC tournaments, with their most recent meeting taking place during the ICC Champions Trophy final last year, which the Men in Green eventually won.

The two heavyweights are set to lock horns again in next summer’s World Cup, and ahead of the showpiece event, former Pakistan cricketer Wqaqr Younis sent out a strong message to the cricketing world on Twitter.

“Cricket have no boundaries !!@cricketworldcup,” he wrote on his Twitter account where he can be seen interacting with a kid wearing an Indian jersey. Interestingly, the message on the jersey reads, “yeh dosti hum nahi todenge (We won’t break this friendship).”
