Hyderabad: Shiva Kant Shukla came up with a superb spell of bowling to snare eight wickets while conceding just 20 runs and emerged the best performer of Friday’s action in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s two-day league matches here.
Shiva Kant’s 8 for 20 meant Apex CC were bowled out for an embarrassing 54 replying to Rohit XI’s 251 for 4 declared in their Elite division match.
Saurav Kumar was the other performer whose figures of 5 for 20 made paupers out of Crown CC as they were bowled out for 55 while chasing Budding Star’s 225 for 4 declared.
The Plate division match between Nizam College and National had performers from either side. G. Anvesh Reddy of Nizam’s made 100 in 147 balls even as Sumeeth Joshi returned with figures of 17-1-49-5 for National in their drawn game.
D. Sampath Kumar of Deccan Blues was the other bowler to do well. He took 5 wickets while conceding 33 runs to bundle out Balaji Colts for a mere 114.
