Gayle in red hot form ahead of ICC World Twenty20 final
Kolkata: While England are hoping that Chris Gayle did not come out blazing, Eden Gardens and fans will be keen to witness a Gayle storm in ICC World Twenty20 final here on Sunday.
Although West Indies beat India in the semifinal in Mumbai on Thursday, the swashbuckling left-hander could not contribute much with the bat after Jasprit Bumrah dismissed him in the second over.
However, the Jamaican looked in a fine shape as he slammed Andre Russell in the nets on the eve of the final.
With Gayle around, there's never a dull moment; not even the practice session. He almost hit one straight at Russell's toes and later, went down on his knees to apologise.
While Gayle did not offer much with the bat following his hundred in the first game against England, it won’t be surprising if he repeats his Mumbai heroics against England at the iconic Kolkata venue as West Indies seek to win the coveted trophy for the second time,
