India vs Australia, 2nd Test: Hardik Pandya ruled out of selection for Bengaluru Test

Hardik Pandya has a niggle in his shoulder, said Virat Kohli.

Bengaluru: While Virat Kohli on Friday did not give away who will be a part of India’s playing XI, the Indian cricket team skipper, on the eve of the second Test against Australia, said that Hardik Pandya was ruled out of selection for the Bengaluru Test.

“Hardik Pandya is not available for selection. He has a niggle in his shoulder. He is not fit to be available for selection. Rest of them are,” said Kohli, when asked about the team selection.

Under Kohli, India have never fielded the same team in two consecutive matches in the longest format of the game. While Kohli did not concede whether India will retain the same side that played against Steve Smith and Co in Pune, he revealed that India have two or three combinations to choose from.

“Combination, I won’t let it out right now. But we do have 2 or 3 combinations that we are looking at. Not one set pattern. So, we will see accordingly what fits best,” concluded Kohli.
