Kohli, who led the Indian youth team to glory back in 2008, is currently in South Africa, preparing for India’s second ODI against South Africa on Sunday.
The Rahul Dravid-coached side had reached the final of the previous ICC Under-19 World Cup. However, the Boys in Blue had lost the final to West Indies by five wickets.
Prithvi Shaw’s men had not even lost a single match throughout the tournament, and had posted wins of huge margins in every match.
It was in the first group match when the Indians had defeated Australia by 100 runs.
