Nagpur: Team India’s wicket-keeper batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni has always been a man to watch behind the stumps, never failing to bail out any batsman when the ball is in his court.

The Jharkhand batsman was at it again during the fifth ODI against Australia in Nagpur on Sunday, when he managed to grab the ball on one hand after a tossed up delivery by spinner Kuldeep Yadav over bounced, to which batsman Travis Head failed to play a successful shot.

The five-match ODI series between Virat Kohli’s India and Steve Smith-led Australia came to a close after the hosts defeated the Aussies by 7 wickets, thereby sealing the series 4-1.

With this win, the Men in Blue not only won the series but also retained the pole position in the ICC ODI rankings, with the visitors slipping to third place, behind South Africa, who are placed second. Virat Kohli and co, thereby have assured themselves of a top spot in both ODI and Test rankings.

With the ODI series completed, the two teams will travel to Ranchi, where they will switch formats and take part in a three-match T20 series starting on October 7. The series will go on for less than a week as Steve Smith and co will conclude with the third T20 on October 13.
